Becky Mae “Nanny” Ellis, age 84, of LaVernia, Texas, passed away on February 24, 2014. She was born on May 8, 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky to Rube Carlton Darnell and Artie lee (Satterly) Darnell. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jackson William Ellis; two sisters; four brothers. She is survived by her children, Barbara Skelton and husband Robert of LaVernia, Jack Ellis II and wife Sandy of Adkins, Donna Arce and husband Adam of LaVernia; grandchildren, Bo Skelton and wife Roxsy of LaVernia, Lisa Skelton of Adkins, Shawn Kokemor and husband Joel of Austin, Jackson Ellis III and wife Faith of Austin, Vanessa Rios and husband Lee of LaVernia; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Gary Darnell and wife Loretta of Sutherland Springs; sister, Mary Austin of Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews, and many loving friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Finch Funeral Chapel- LaVernia, Texas.
