Santiago “Jimmy” Villanueva, age 92 of Nixon, died September 14, 2014 in Stockdale. He was born February 7, 1922 in Helena, Texas to the late Santiago and Trinidad Gonzales Villanueva. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Galindo Villanueva of Nixon; three daughters: Linda Garcia and husband Gilberto of San Marcos, Ramona Collingsworth and husband Paul of Arlington, Anita Orenbaun and husband Larry of Aledo; two sons: Jimmy “Bear” Villanueva of Nixon; Joe Villanueva of Euless, Texas; grandchildren: Gina Kriston and husband Kevin and their son Erik Kriston, of Germansville, Pennsylvania, Gil Garcia and wife Theresa and their children Akello and Makeda Garcia of Austin; as well as other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Finch Funeral Chapel of Nixon with a rosary recited at 6:30 PM by Deacon Ben Gimenez. A funeral mass will be held Friday, September 19, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nixon. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.
