Guadalupe Longoria Zuniga, age 83, died November 7, 2014 at her home in Nixon. She was born July 31, 1931 in Seguin, Texas to Jose and Adela Garcia Longoria. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Santiago A. Zuniga on November 12, 1959; and by two sisters: Maria Martinez and Margarita Bustamante. She is survived by her daughters: Diana L. Zuniga (Monica Wesney) of Nixon; Isabel Hernandez (Pedro) of Midland; sons: Armando Zuniga (Geralyn) of Nixon; Jimmy Zuniga of Nixon; her sisters: Dora Leal of Nixon; Elia Longoria of Nixon; Sally Garcia of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren: Roger Hernandez, Krystal Hernandez-Gomez, Joaquin Santiago Zuniga; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 11, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Finch Funeral Chapel of Nixon with a rosary recited by Deacon John Moreno at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 12, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nixon with Father Ouseph Kuriakose officiating. Interment will follow at the Nixon Latin American Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the charity of one’s choice.
