Obituary for Lucian E. ""Blue"" Jarzombek

Lucian E. “Blue” Jarzombek, age 79, of Kosciusko, TX, passed away May 14, 2015 in San Antonio, TX. Lucian was born January 3, 1936 in Poth, TX, to Steve and Mary (Sekula) Jarzombek. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Nick Jarzombek and Ben Jarzombek; and sisters, Celie Urbanczyk and Helen Mzyk.

Lucian was a man of few words, but always showed unconditional love. He grew up on a farm in Kosciusko with seven siblings. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany. During his time in the service, he played semi-pro baseball and continued to coach when he returned from duty. On November 21, 1970, Lucian married Alice Kaminski. They began their lives together in Kosciusko and were blessed with four children.

Lucian spent his days working hard drilling water wells and farming. He taught his children how to take care of the animals and the land. Sports were a favorite hobby that he passed-down to his children and grandchildren. During his life he rarely missed a week without going to church. He loved the Lord and is now by his side in Heaven. We will all miss him dearly but know that he is in our hearts forever.

Lucian is survived by his loving wife, Alice Jarzombek; sons, Marlan Jarzombek and wife Ashley, Timothy Jarzombek and wife Nicole, and James Jarzombek; daughter, Laura Jarzombek; grandchildren, Connor, Peyton, and Blake Jarzombek; sisters, Stella Bednarz, Mary Rutkowski, and Adeline Jarzombek.
A visitation will take place Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm with a rosary vigil recited at 7pm at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko, TX.
