Joe Vela, Jr. of Stockdale, TX passed away on October 23, 2015 at the age of 55. He was born on August 1, 1960 to Joe Sr. and Juanita (Sanchez) Vela in Victoria, TX. Joe was preceded in death by his father; sisters, Dolores and Mariaita Vela. He is loved and will be missed by his mother, Juanita Vela; daughter, Tasha Fowler; sons, Ernest Salinas, Joe Anthony Vela, and Christopher James Vela; sisters, Olivia Martinez, Susana Earl, Diana Williams, and Juanita Valadez; brother, Pedro Vela; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Vela Residence, 208 W. Person St., Stockdale, TX 78160. Pastor Sil will officiate the services.
