On May 30, 2016 Stanley Edwin Ahrens passed away at the age of 79 years. Stanley was born on December 14, 1936 in Karnes County, Texas to Raymond and Augusta (nee Knetsch) Ahrens. On July 19, 1958 he married Betty Pullin in Karnes City, Texas where they raised two sons. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 57 years, Betty Ahrens; sons, Mansel “Pistol” Ahrens and wife Tina of Rockport, and Stevie Ahrens and wife Mariah of La Vernia; grandchildren, Brent Ahrens, Dustin Braune, and Tyler Denson; great-grandchild, Liam Charles Denson; brother, Clarence “Pete” Ahrens and wife Carol of Denton; sister, Doris Ann Haegler and husband Jerry of Rockport; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

Reverend Billy Moore will be officiant of the services. Burial will follow at Concrete Cemetery in La Vernia. Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
