Obituary for Maurice "Butch" Kosub

Maurice “Butch” Kosub, age 76, passed away in San Antonio, Texas on June 8, 2016. He was born on August 5, 1939 in San Antonio to Harry Michael and Vergie (Lubianski) Kosub. On June 23, 1962 Butch married Louise Laskowski in Kosciusko, Texas. Butch retired from Union Pacific Railroad, and for the past 12 years has worked for the Hertz Corporation. He has been a lifetime member of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, served as Past President of the St. Hedwig Fire Department, as well as Past Councilman for the City of St. Hedwig. He was an extremely devoted member of his community and a faithful servant of the Lord. Butch is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Edward and Vergie Laskowski; brothers-in-law, John Franckowiak and Donald Hausman. He is loved dearly and will be missed by his wife of 53 years, Louise Kosub; son, Lance Kosub and fiancé Kellie Guzy; grandsons, Clayton and Matthew Kosub; sisters, Harriet Franckowiak and Audrey Hausman; brother, Vernon Kosub and wife Terry; sisters-in-law, Gladys Zigmond and husband Jimmie, and Rose Benoist and husband Jeff; brothers-in-law, Sixtus Laskowski and wife Imelda and Edward Laskowski; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. There will be a visitation held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm.
