Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great–Great Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin and Friend Lorraine Christine Thomas was welcomed into the Holy Kingdom of God on June 14, 2016. She was born in Ojai, California on May 13, 1924 to Joseph B. Mihalski and Regina Ploch Mihalski . She was the third of 6 children. Josephine Lyro, deceased, Elizabeth Korbar, deceased, Donald Mihalski and wife Bertha, Dellamae Mihalski, deceased and Louis Mihalski and wife Melanie. She married her Husband Walter R. Thomas SMSGT on January 19, 1946 and then moved to San Antonio, TX where they lived for 28 years. She is survived by their 8 children: Robert Thomas and wife Pat, Eileen Padalecki and husband Clifford, Gilbert Thomas and wife Gayle, Dellamae Hartline and husband Bryan, Norbert Thomas, Richard Thomas and wife Debbie, Douglas Thomas and wife Theresa and Franklin Thomas and wife Kathy. Lorraine was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews whom all love her greatly. Lorraine was very active in her community of St. Hedwig, TX where she lived as a child and later moved back to in 1974. She was a devout Catholic and member of Annunciation of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church where she leaves behind many friends that love her. Even at 92 years young, Lorraine rarely missed a church or community event. She will be missed by many but loved by all. Visitation will be held at 5pm Friday June 17, 2016 at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, TX. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 10:00am at Annunciation of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig TX. Interment will follow at Annunciation of the BVM Catholic Cemetery. Father Bill Zadora will be officiant of the services. You are welcome to sign the online guestbook at www.finchfuneralchapel.com.
