Condolence: I met Denis Goertz 11 years ago when I bought adjacent property here. Needing to move our home from the old place, I had made some arrangements with another neighbor to move it across his property. When that guy changed his mind, I was stuck. As a last resort I approached Denis, who immediately agreed to help. He did me a great favor when I really needed one and I offerred to pay him, but he would have none of it, asking only that I complete some fence work that would benefit both of us. That's the kind of man I knew him to be.
I will miss his kindness, his mischievous smile, and the way he tapped my shoulder in church while passing in the communion line. He made the world a little better place, and he will be missed.
My deepest condolences to all who knew and loved him.
