Josephine Gallardo, age 88, of Nixon, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on July 30, 2016. She was born to Jesus and Petra (Hernandez) Garza on December 19, 1927 in Nixon, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years: Margarito; sisters: Maria G. Riojas, Nancy G. Pena; daughter Diana Gallardo and grandson Loyd Ray Freeman Jr. Josephine is survived by her daughter: Delia G. Freeman and husband Ray; son: Marco A. Gallardo and wife Amy; brother: Juan (John) J. Garza; grandchildren: Diana Freeman, Brandi Freeman, Whitney Freeman; great-grandchildren: Riley K. McKinley, Mia A. Martinez; 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Her service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Finch Funeral Chapel of Nixon at 10:00 AM with viewing starting an hour before the service. Bro. Rene Amaya will officiate. Interment will follow at the Nixon Latin American Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Services under the direction of Finch Funeral Chapel of Nixon.
