Norma Albiar Mendoza, a former resident of Runge, was called to heaven on Sunday, September 25, 2016. Norma was the daughter of Alfredo and Audencia Albiar and beloved wife of 36 years to Alvaro Alvi Mendoza.

She was known for her kind and loving manner, and her love for her husband, children and grandchildren always believing that family and God were most important.

She is survived by her husband, Alvaro Alvi Mendoza; daughters, Adrienne Casias and Gabby Pina; sons, Roland Solis and Ruben Solis; sisters, Amelia Rodriguez of Mathis; brother, albino Albiar of Runge; 24 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Ramon D. Solis; infant son, Alvaro Mendoza, Jr.; and infant daughter, Christina Mendoza. Pallbearers will be: Ryan Albiar, Adrian Casias, Cain Casias, Ruben Solis, III, Ruben Solis and Rene Solis.

First visitation will be 5-8pm, Monday, September 26, 2016; second visitation will be 8am – 8pm, Tuesday, September 27, 2016, and a third visitation will be 8am – 8pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2016 with a Rosary at 7pm, all at Finch Funeral Chapel - Runge. Funeral Mass will be at 1 pm, Thursday, September 29, 2016, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge with Father Stephen Wiera officiating. Burial will follow at Runge Latin American Cemetery.
