Obituary for William Joel "Bill" Schendel

William Joel “Bill” Schendel, 54, of Goliad, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017. He was born January 28, 1962, in Karnes City to C. F. “Dick” Schendel and Justyne Mixon Cox.

Bill was preceded in death by father, C. F. “Dick” Schendel; step-mother, Ellie Schendel; step-father, James S. Cox; and infant sister, Mae Gale Schendel.

He is survived by his son, William Stephen Schendel; mother, Justyne Mixon Cox; brothers, Richard Earl Schendel, Robert Edward Schendel, Pat Justin Schendel, and their families; sister, Cindy Schendel Nankervis and her family; Stephen’s mother, Kathy Payton; Stephen’s brothers, Michael Orman, Christopher Orman and Dylan Parrack; granddaughter, Barbara Orman; and best friend, Milly.

On Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Finch Funeral Chapel – Runge, there will be a visitation at 10:00am – 2:00pm with a funeral service at 2:00pm officiated by Rev. James Schendel.

Memorials may be made to Bill’s favorite organization, the Goliad County 4H Club at 329 W. Franklin, Goliad, TX 77963.
