Bennette Jill Kosarek Hester, age 50, of Nixon, passed away February 21, 2017 in San Antonio. She was born September 12, 1966 in San Antonio, Texas. Bennette was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Byrl Hester; a brother-in-law, Byrl “Bud” Hester III; and a sister-in-law, Martha “Marty” Hamilton. She is survived by her husband, Bart Hester of Nixon; her daughter, Brooke Hester, of Nixon; her parents, Gene and Gail (Weber) Kosarek; two sisters: Kelli Perrill and husband Brian of Seguin; Karen Radicke and husband David of Austin; her mother-in-law, Frankie Hester of Nixon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ginger and Kirby Smith of Floresville; Cindy Hester of Seguin; Danny and Pauline Hester of Nixon; Troy and Terry Hester of Nixon; Pam Hester of Charlotte; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family and many friends.

The visitation will be held Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 5pm – 8pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon. The funeral service will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10:00am at the Church of Christ in Stockdale, Texas, with Pastors Rhonda Troll and George Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the Dewville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a college account has been set up at Heritage Bank in Nixon in Brooke Hester’s name.
