Cecilia “Cecil” Schueling Zenner of La Vernia, Texas entered eternal rest on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the age of 84. Cecil was born on February 11, 1933 to John J. Schueling and Wilhelmina Louisa (Koehler) Schueling in Hondo, Texas. On April 19, 1952, she married Carl Matthew Zenner in Hondo. For many years, she and Carl owned and operated a feed and hardware store in La Vernia, Texas that is still an important part of the La Vernia community. They were also long time members of St. Ann Catholic Church in La Vernia. Cecil is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Henry Schueling (Erna Ruth), Herman Schueling (Audrey), and Fred Schueling (Zola); sister, Willie Pichot (Jim); brothers-in-law, Kurt Wertheim and Earl Achilles; niece, Suzan Zenner; nephews, Rex Wertheim and Kurt “Chip” Wertheim. She will be dearly missed by her husband of nearly 65 years, Carl Zenner; daughters, Kay “Beth” Sanders, Helen Zenner, Clara Duelm (Harvey Broll), and Patti Zenner; grandchildren, Zachary Duelm, Lisa Broll, and Michael Sanders; in-laws, Betty Wertheim, Harry “Jack” and Lillyan Zenner, and Frances Achilles; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and other loving family. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at St. Ann Catholic Church in La Vernia. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm.

Interment will follow at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery. Father Stan Fiuk will be officiant of the services.
