Shirley Pierce Neill, age 87, of Stockdale, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in New Braunfels. She was born December 21, 1929 in Premont to Mr. and Mrs. Leland Eugene and Rosalie (Kuether) Pierce. Shirley loved to cook for her family and friends. She also loved to tend to her garden and to mow her yard.
Shirley is survived by her children, Rickey Neill (Susan) of Stockdale and Janet Neill Jay (Tim) of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Lance Neill (Robin) and Macie Freabe (Chris); great-grandchildren, Lee Neill, Lawson Neill and Owen Freabe; sisters-in-law, Lela Pierce, Leona Pierce and Mary Jo Neill; brother-in-law, Warren Neill (Arlia Faye); numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Sandy Land and Louise Stoever.
Her parents; husband, Melvin Neill; brothers, Justin, Kenneth, Leland Jr., Russell and Frankie Pierce; brother-in-law, Don Neill; sisters-in-law, Margie Misthos and Joyce Weir precede her in death.
A visitation will take place Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Finch Funeral Chapel of Stockdale.

The Reverend Scott Jones will officiate at the service. Interment will follow in the Stockdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Wolf, Wade Land, Shane Land, Jerry Metcalf, Justin Metcalf and Verne Childress.
