Wanda “Pippin” Von Minden went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2017 at the age of 85. She was born on December 4, 1931 in La Vernia, Texas to Fred Pierdolla, Sr. and Ruby (Stahl) Pierdolla. On August 17, 1952, Pippin married Leon F. Von Minden in St. Hedwig, Texas. Pippin worked in the banking industry for many years, with State Bank of La Vernia, and most recently as Vice President of Nixon State Bank in La Vernia. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon; sisters, Colleen Bownds and husband John; and Betty Gipson and husband, Jim. Pippin is survived by her daughters, Janis Tschirhart and husband Matthew, and Debra Von Minden; grandchildren, Mark Tschirhart, MD, and wife Myra; Charles Arp III, and Katherine Arp; great-grandchild, Mylo Tschirhart; brother, Fred Pierdolla, Jr. and wife, Cherry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.
