Pascual Garcia Miller, 83, passed away on May 2, 2017 at home in La Vernia, Texas. Pascual was born on July 1, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas to Minerva Yzaguirre. On May 1, 1971 Pascual married Lillian Joyce Loehrke in Zion, Illinois. After retiring from over 21 years of service with the United States Navy, Pascual and Lillian made their home in Winthrop, Illinois where he enjoyed a second retirement from the US Postal Service after 23 years. They then moved to La Vernia, Texas where Pascual was a member of the La Vernia EMS, the La Vernia Lions Club, St. Ann’s Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 837, the Purple Heart Organization, the American Legion, the Disable American Vets, and the Fleet Reserve Association. Pascual is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul Miller, George Miller and Vincent Miller; sisters, Alma Royce and Virginia Duke. He is loved and will be missed dearly by his wife of 46 years and 1 day, Lillian Miller; daughter, Teresa Miller Zdansky (Frank); grandchildren, Zachary Miller and Kendra Zdansky; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017, 5:00pm-9:00pm, Rosary at 7:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Father Stanislaw Fiuk will be officiant of the services. Donations may be made in way of Mass Contributions.
