Obituary for Francisco "Frank" Rodriguez

Francisco "Frank"  Rodriguez
Frank Rodriguez was born on July 21, 1929, in Benavides, Texas, to Victoriano and Eufracia Rodriguez. He joined the United States Navy in 1948, serving overseas during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Huntington. After his time in the military, he settled in the La Vernia, Texas area, marrying Lorene Lenz Dieckow. Together they lived a long, happy life for over 55 years. He loved farming, the Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas, God and his family. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lorene, his 2 brothers, Facundo and Alberto Rodriguez. He is survived by his Sister-in-law, Aurora Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Step-son, Calvin Dieckow, Granddaughter, Lacy Petersen and husband AJ Petersen, Granddaughter Shelly Dieckow Halsey, Great Grandchildren Chesney Halsey, Ty Halsey, Savanah Petersen and Jayton Petersen, all of La Vernia, as well as, many loving nieces and nephews throughout the state and across the country. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Saturday, July 8, 2017

Immanuel Lutheran Church
La Vernia, Texas

Interment will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. The Reverend Dr. Robert Palan will be officiant of the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
