Bobby Joe  Baker, Sr.
Bobby Joe Baker, Sr., age 76, of Smiley, passed away July 23, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Hollister, Oklahoma on May 9, 1941. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and he married Hazel Lorene Glasco in Nixon on March 1, 1968. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey William and Edna Leona (Grant) Baker; a son, William D. “Billy” Baker; and a brother, Victor Leon Baker. Bobby is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lorene Baker; his son, Bobby Baker, Jr. and wife Lisa; his daughter, Kimberley Baker and husband Victor Jimenez; 4 grandchildren: Travis Baker, Joshua Baker, Kristan Baker and Victoria Gonzales; a great-grandchild, Symphony Alexander; nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon with a visitation with the family held one hour before the service. Interment of his cremated remains will follow at the Bundick Cemetery at Smiley. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nixon Volunteer Fire Department or the Smiley Volunteer Fire Department.
