Obituary for Clara Frances Kravitz (Stanush)

Clara Frances Kravitz, age 88, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017, in San Antonio. Clara was born October 30, 1928 in San Antonio to Mr. and Mrs. Adolph J. and Febronia Helena Stanush. Clara was a life-long member of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig. She enjoyed reading, quilting and embroidery, various craft making and traveling locally, nationally and abroad. Sharing her history and many stories with her grandchildren is something she will always be remembered for. Her parents; husband, Edward Kravitz; children, Patricia Sibley, Kenneth Kravitz and Elaine Mickey; brothers, Bennie, Clarence, Emil, and Johnny Stanush; sisters, Mary Crowley and Lillian Kotzur precede her in death. Clara is survived by her grandchildren, Justin Sibley, Renae Brown and husband, Sean, Jennifer Harper and husband John and Ashley Mickey; great-grandchildren, Sean “Bubba” Brown Jr., Loryn “Lolo” Brown and Jordan “Lil’ Peanut” Harper; brother, Freddie Stanush; numerous nieces, nephews and her canine companion, Sparky. A visitation will take place Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary Vigil recited at 7:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, La Vernia.

Father Bill Zadora will officiate at the Mass. Interment will follow in the Annunciation BVM Catholic Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Clara’s name by way of mass intentions.
