Obituary for Charles "Chuck" Richard Malloy

Charles “Chuck” Richard Malloy of La Vernia, Texas passed away on September 6, 2017 at the age of 84 at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Chuck was born on July 22, 1933 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Charles James Molloy and Agnes Costello Molloy. He married Billie Jean Caldwell on August 1,1955 in Harlingen, Texas while stationed at Harlingen Air Force Base. Chuck served in the armed forces from the very young age of 15, joining the Marines in 1948. He served as a Marine until he joined the Air Force in 1950; retiring permanently in 1971. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Agnes Molloy; brothers, Mark Molloy and Robert Molloy. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Billie Jean Malloy; children, Cheryl and Milton Young, Elaine and Ken Tiller, Janel and Carl Pullin, and Bill and Linda Caldwell; grandchildren, Patricia Johnson (Chris), Kimberly Weikle (George), Dana Perry, Jenny Klase (Nick), Michelle Aurora (Tim), Amy Caldwell, and Julia Pullin; great-grandchildren, Isaac Gauthier, Kamren Darnell, Ashlyn Weikle, Hope Cabrera, Katherine Weikle, Taiya Aurora, Kyndall Aurora, Finn Klase, Kynlee Aurora, Lillian Klase, Arianna Weikle, Kynadee Aurora, and Jackson Johnson; brother, Brian Molloy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved and favorite dog, Charlie Chan. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

Interment will follow at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Hedwig, Texas. Officiants of the services will be The Reverend Dr. Josh Walters and Father Bill Zadora. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Chuck's name to: Air Force Aid Society at www.afas.org.
