The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Kalinoski can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Dona and I would like to extend our most sincere condolences. George was not only a talented leader at the 149th, as a commander, I valued his advice and service to the nation. In the years since we both retired it was always a pleasure to talk to George; his smile and true caring about people left me feeling better for having seen him. We shared doctors offices and it was always a pleasant happenstance when we crossed paths. He was always positive, making you feel he really enjoyed seeing you, all marks of a great person and leader. I'll miss not seeing him at retiree events where his ready smile always lightened the mood. Unfortunately we will be out of town this weekend and won't be able to attend his memorial. Know that we'll be thinking about you as we travel with our family. I'll be wearing a little smile thinking about George telling St Peter a joke and the gatekeeper feeling better about himself.
