Obituary for Betty Ann Fielden (Baxley)

Betty Ann Fielden, 56, of La Vernia, Texas passed away on December 8, 2017. Betty was born on May 6, 1961 in San Antonio, Texas to Charles Clifford Baxley and Dorothy Helen (Petry) Baxley. She attended East Central High School and loved to dance and perform with the Honey Bee dance team. She met the love of her life and soul mate, Kurt when she began working at Carpet Services. Their friendship bloomed into a love that was undeniable; full of pure and unconditional love for one another. The two of them were a team at work and a team at home. When not at work, they shared the love of family raising their only daughter, Megan. They spent their time involved in girl scouts, coaching softball, and traveling to horse shows. As a family they loved the coast and spent many summers down in Rockport and Port Aransas. Betty was so smart, loving, caring, giving, and forgiving to everyone she encountered. There was not a person or animal that she would not help. Betty and Kurt, along with long time business partners Larry and Rommy opened their own company, Commercial Surfaces Inc. Betty enjoyed riding in the Palomino Patrol and always had a big smile on her face. Her proudest moment in life was becoming a Grammie. She loved and adored her three grandchildren, Luke, Leah, and Lane. She earned her wings December 8, 2017 when her six and half year battle with cancer came to an end. She is now shining down on us, sitting with her beloved dog Jake and riding one of her favorite horses, Sequoia. She is preceded in death by her father, and sister, Sherry Poole. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Kurt Christopher Fielden; daughter, Megan Lingo and husband Randall, Jr.; grandchildren, Luke, Leah and Lane Lingo; mother, Dorothy Baxley; sister, Annette Francis and husband Arnie; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends, as well as her four-legged family. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017, 6:00pm - 7:00pm, at St. Ann Catholic Church in La Vernia, Texas. The Rosary Vigil will be recited at 7:00pm.
