Betti Louise Rutland, of Stockdale, Texas passed away February 5, 2018, at the age of 89. She was born in Graford, Texas on December 17, 1928 to Samuel Elly Harris and Virginia Caroline Lillard. Betti is survived by her loving husband Wade H. Rutland; children Babs McGuffin (Clint); Rick Rutland (Pat); Becky Stewart (Jim); and Trudy Eismann (Lee); grandchildren, Misty McGuffin, Kelsey Scheel (Jacob), Rhea Rutland, Ryan Rutland, and Lacey Stewart; great-grandchild Kinslyn Scheel; brothers-in-law, Jim Shelton and Wayne Rutland (Jo); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd Harris (Frances); sisters, Faye Arnold (Bob) and Virginia Shelton; nephew, Bob McClellan; and sister-in-law, Imogene Rutland. Betti received her B.S. in Education from East Texas State Teachers College in 1949 and her Masters in Education from East Texas State. Memorials may be sent to the Stockdale ISD Education Foundation or to the Stockdale Church of Christ. A visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.
