Obituary for Sondra Nell Nemec (Baxter)

Sondra Nell Nemec (Baxter)
Sondra Nell Nemec, age 84, of Adkins, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 in San Antonio. Sondra was born January 2, 1934 in Robstown to Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Lee and Frances Nadine (Folmar) Baxter, whom have preceded her in death. On March 3, 1962 she married Laddie J. Nemec. They moved to San Antonio and she taught pre-school. She touched many hearts and brought much joy to the little ones and their moms. Even years later she kept in touch with many of the parents and children. She is fondly remembered as “the sweet, fun aunt” by her nieces and nephews, always making each one feel special. In 1997 Sondra retired and moved to Adkins along with her husband. She quickly settled into country life and made many more friends with neighbors, church members, shop clerks and restaurant employees. Sondra truly never met a stranger. Her infectious smile and loving heart has touched many people throughout the years. Sondra was always a little ray of sunshine in everyone’s life and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Sondra is survived by her husband of 55 years, Laddie J. Nemec; son, Steven Lee Kaspar; brother, Clifford Lee Baxter; cousins, Jerry Slone and Mary Slone Shiloh; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and many friends. A visitation will take place Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm with a Rosary Vigil recited at 7pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, La Vernia.
