Houston Allen  Kosub Jr.
Houston Allen Kosub, Jr. entered eternal rest on February 28, 2018 at the age of 74. He was born on April 3, 1943 to Houston Allen Kosub, Sr. and Lillian L. (Rohlf) Kosub in San Antonio, Texas. Houston married the Annie E. Meracle on June 21, 1967 in Seguin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kosub, and Mr. and Mrs. Rohlf; sister, Jannette Hughes; father and mother-in-law, James and Emma Meracle; brothers-in-law, Walter Meracle, Edward Meracle, and Bill Mires, Sr. Houston is survived by his love of his life of 50 years, Ann Kosub of Karnes City, TX; children, Clinton Kosub and wife Andrea of Adkins, TX, James Kosub and wife Rhonda of Karnes City, TX, and Denise K. Kosub of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Justin Kosub, Wyatt Kosub, Matthew Kosub, LynnAnn Kosub, Leah Kosub, Miranda Giggs, Paul Kosub, Korbin Cox, and Danielle Cox; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Jearline Mires of San Marcos, TX; brothers, Roy Kosub and wife Lola of Corpus Chrisiti, TX and Dale Kosub and wife Linda Karnes City, TX; sister-in-law, Patricia Meracle Salvis of Lytle, TX; brother-in-law, Raymond Meracle of Floresville, TX; god-daughters, Tammy Bargefrede of Seguin, TX and Cindy Corbin of San Antonio, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

Chaplin Jimisu Stuckey will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Concrete Cemetery near La Vernia. Pallbearers actively serving will be Justin Kosub, Wyatt Kosub, Matthew Kosub, Korbin Cox, Mark Merkel, and Ralph Breed. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Rohlf and Vernon Bratton. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
