Obituary for Viola Majefski (Cox)
Viola, 98, of McDonald, South Fayette Twp., PA, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, in her daughter’s home.
She was born April 14, 1919, in Runge, TX, a daughter of the late James Robert and Erna Bluhm Cox.
Mrs. Majefski was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, being a care giver for her family and supporting local sporting events.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Bush of South Fayette Twp., son, George (Kathy) Majefski of Runge; grandchildren, Amanda Mae (Justin) Yates of Oakdale, Kollin (Lauren) Barnett; great grandchildren, Alexis and Joshua Yates, Kamryn Ramirez and a great grandson; sister, Marie Helen Fielding of Robstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Majefski; brothers, James, Oscar, George and Albert Cox and granddaughter, Kristin Barnett.
Visitation will be 4-8pm, Friday, March 23, 2018 at Finch Funeral Chapel – Runge. Funeral service will be at 10am, Saturday, March 24, 2018, with Rev. Tim Muehlbrad officiating. Interment will follow at Runge Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Van Fielding, Bobby Fielding, Frank Fielding Jr, Justin Yates, Josh Yates and Kollin Barnett. Honorary pallbearer will be Chester Myers.
