Clifton S. “Cliff” Recker, Jr., born June 2, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to Clifton S. Recker, Sr., and Agnes E. [Tudyk] Recker died peacefully at home on April 4th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Cliff is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Glenda J. Following his military service, Cliff worked as long-haul truck driver. In 1958, he opened his own business, now known as TRIPLE R DC EXPERTS on Rigsby Avenue. Cliff was a LIFE member of SALE; a member of the American Legion and VFW; past President of the La Vernia Lions Club; life-long member of Hermann Sons, and a Republican candidate for County Commissioner Precinct 3 in 1988. Cliff loved his home life, gardening, spending time with family, and bowling where he met many of long-time friends. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses, and hospice personnel for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.
