Rudy Itz Hansen of San Antonio, Texas passed away on June 1, 2018 at the age of 72. Rudy was born in San Antonio on January 30, 1946 to Ewald Albert Hansen and Esther Olga (Itz) Hansen. On May 29, 1982 Rudy married Linda Kay Baird in San Antonio. Rudy is preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Ewald Hansen. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda (Baird) Hansen; son, James Albert Hansen and wife, Daisy; grandson, James Dakota Hansen; granddaughter, Jordan Elain Hansen; sister-in-law, Kathy Hansen; brothers-in-law, Norman Thomas Baird and wife, Toni, and James A. Baird and wife, Ann; 3 nieces, 2 nephews and other loving family and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, 5:00pm-8:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas. An additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, 9:30am-10:30am at St. John's Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas.

Burial will follow at Mission South Cemetery, 1700 SE Military Dr., San Antonio, Texas 78214. A reception will be held following the burial at St. John's Lutheran Church. Pastor Judith Miller will be officiant of the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rudy’s name to the donor’s choice of charities.
