The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Bynum can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Lackland Jimbo

My memories from Wilford Hall and he was a good friend of mine. We both worked the midshift and had many conversations about him his family whom he would talk about often. A quiet and talented man. He was amazed that I had worked in Alaska. The place where he said his father helped build Clear Air Force base. I invited him to Las Vegas when I lived there and took him on a 4 hour tour of my job at the Hoover Dam. He was like a kid in a candy store and I was honored to answer all the questions he had. Kept in touch when he transferred to NAS Corpus pubic works because he loved to fish and the ocean. A fellow Union brother and he will be dearly missed. Jimbo I wish I could have seen you before this horrible condition hit you. Loved you like a brother and I know you are the best Pipe fitter that the Lord has ever seen. Rest In Peace and as they say in the Navy. Fair winds and following seas my brother. Rest In Peace and I will remember the good laughs we had at Lackland.
